Frank De Maria

Advisor

Frank De Maria is a Founding Partner of Purposeful Advisors, a strategic communications firm dedicated to helping companies build and protect their reputations while navigating complex business environments, and serves as a marketing communications advisor to BioAdvance Capital. With over 28 years of experience in international corporate marketing and communications, Frank has advised some of the world’s most influential companies and executives across industries including financial services, technology, and biotechnology.

Before founding Purposeful Advisors, he served as Global Head of Communications for NASDAQ, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s global messaging, media relations, and corporate positioning during a period of significant digital transformation and expansion. The role put him at the center of how a technology-driven market infrastructure company explains itself to investors, regulators, and the press, work that has carried directly into his current focus on helping companies communicate through digital and AI-driven change.

Prior to NASDAQ, Frank led communications for Newsweek Magazine and Thomson Reuters. At Thomson Reuters, he led the global communications around the acquisition of Reuters Group by Thomson and was a key member of the rebranding team.

Frank began his career in London at Brunswick Group, a premier global advisory firm, where he specialized in crisis management, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and special situations. During his tenure, he advised multinational corporations and high-profile executives on high-stakes communications challenges.

Throughout his career, Frank has built and cultivated strong relationships with influential business, financial, and industry journalists and key opinion leaders across global markets. His expertise in narrative development, crisis response, and executive positioning has made him a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, founders, and leadership teams of both emerging and established enterprises.
