Marnie McCoy, M.A.

Program Director

As program director at BioAdvance, Ms. McCoy plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth execution across multiple aspects of BioAdvance’s portfolio and investment activities.  With nearly twenty-five years of experience managing the intricacies of the investment process, Ms. McCoy is instrumental in managing due diligence and investment closings, ensuring that every potential portfolio company is thoroughly vetted. Acting as a central communication hub, Ms. McCoy liaises with potential investment opportunities, technical reviewers, consultants, and the firm’s leadership to maintain a seamless flow of information.

Ms. McCoy provides essential support to the Partners by preparing weekly investment books, maintaining database and records tracking ongoing and historical pipeline company activities. Additionally, Ms. McCoy facilitates investment meeting discussion, conducts diligence research on pipeline companies, and maintains formal notes to support decision-making.

Ms. McCoy track pipeline company activities and is also responsible for a variety of research and analysis initiatives at BioAdvance.  Ms. McCoy maintains and update charts, spreadsheets, and reports that track industry trends, deal comparables, and performance metrics. Her work directly supports BioAdvance’s impact reporting, including preparing data for state information requests, board meetings, and the firm’s annual report. McCoy’s efforts in maintaining accurate metrics, charts, and slides have been instrumental in demonstrating BioAdvance’s contributions to job creation and industry growth.

Previously Ms. McCoy worked with QED in Malvern, PA as research and information manager. QED provided advice and counsel to life sciences companies and organizations. Ms. McCoy completed the Rutgers University Mini-MBA program in 2015. She holds a BA in psychology from Millersville University and in May of 2023 graduated with a Master of Arts degree in counseling.
